On Friday 6 March, we went to visit some of the Ahmedabad City schools with our field trainers, Jyotiben, Prabhaben (in the village of Vatva) and Merunishaben and Bhavnaben (in the villages of Bakrol and Ghatra), who have been running workshops with children on the topic of “Safe and Unsafe Touch”.
Prita Jha and team met with several School’s Principals in order to discuss their feedback on these trainings and ways in which we can further engage parents and teachers for extensive sessions about the law on POCSO and the legal procedures if such a case should arise in their remits.
We also personally extended our support for any cases where families may need legal support in POCSO cases. A day of productive meetings with upcoming plans to collaborate with them in the very near future.
