Prita Jha, director of PEC, was called on the panel to discuss the use and abuse of laws related to domestic violence by the WICCI-NRI Council. She spoke about the fact that the biggest problem is that the data shows that 75% of women do not talk to anyone about the violence they suffer. There is a huge need for research on abuse of law, there is a lot of talk about abuse of law but no data or research to support this contention.
