Prita Jha held the first training of a series to prepare support persons and paralegals for access to justice work in Bihar.
New POCSO projects are being run by Samegra Seva in Bihar in the following districts – Bhagalpur, Jamui, Lakhisarai, Begusarai and Banka.
Team members were enthused and motivated to work with PEC. “I am looking forward to doing this work, of challenging the culture of silence surrounding child sexual abuse,” wrote one of the attendees of the training in their feedback. “The training was good because it was simple and I learnt new things about the POCSO Act as well. Looking forward to working with PEC on raising awareness about such issues,” wrote another attendee in their feedback.
