Volunteers at Peace and Equality Cell support legal and awareness work around child sexual abuse (CSA), POCSO and unconstitutional violence in Gujarat, Bihar and other focus areas. They help with organising CSA prevention trainings, preparing awareness materials, coordinating community meetings and documenting the impact of field programmes.
Volunteers may assist the team in research for cases, data collection, translation, and outreach to women’s shelters and partner organisations, ensuring survivors and families know their rights and available support. This role is ideal for those who want hands‑on exposure to law, gender justice and child protection while working closely with experienced lawyers and grassroots practitioners.
By joining, volunteers directly strengthen access to justice for children and women who otherwise struggle to be heard in the legal system. They also contribute to breaking the culture of silence around CSA and domestic violence by taking conversations into schools, communities and institutions
